What other day has so much pressure to be carefree, joyful, and slightly crazy?!
If you’re there, amazing – have a holy, happy time, my friend. Maybe I’ll join you.
But what if you’re not there – what if the day isn’t going exactly how you planned?
What if you happened to wake up under the weather today, or you’re not feeling 100% connected socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically – or in any other way, for whatever reason in the world?
How do you square what’s going on inside with how you’re supposed to feel and how everyone else looks like they’re feeling?
Baruch Mordechai and Arur Haman.
You’re not supposed to know the difference.
Every experience, every single thing you go through – and that includes every feeling, every good day and bad, every moment you feel connected and every moment you don’t –
All of it.
Today, you can rise above all your experiences and see them for what they are: points along your journey, things that you go through but that aren’t you.
Experiences that affect you but don’t define you.
Look beneath the mask.
YOU are at the epicentre of all of it, going through it all in the way you need to go through it.
All of it capable of bringing you closer to where you want to be going.
Happy Purim!
